In this post I will talk about pregnancy total body pillow.
This was actually a gift from my brother. I started using it when I was about 16 weeks pregnant. Before using the pillow I was having a hard time getting a good night’s sleep. I would wake up not just because I would need to use the bathroom all the time but also because my back, hips, and/or butt would hurt. After I started using the pillow I still wake up but only to use the bathroom, not because of the pains. I have noticed I feel more refreshed when I wake up in the morning and the pains have gone down substantially.
During pregnancy its recommended that one sleeps on their left side to help blood and nutrients reach the baby more easily. Sleeping on the back and on the right side isn’t recommended as it puts pressure on your heart and liver. I have always been a back sleeper, and trying to sleep on my left side after becoming pregnant hasn’t come easy to me. This pregnancy pillow has been helping me a lot in getting myself to sleep on my left side. I (and my husband) have noticed that I have started sleeping more on the left side now!
So overall, I highly recommend this pillow…! The particular total body pillow my brother gave me and I love is the PharMeDoc Full Body Pregnancy Pillow. Another bonus with this particular pillow is that it has a cover that you can take off easily and machine wash!
Let me know if any of you have tried a pregnancy total body pillow before and what your experience has been with it!
